Hello! It is mid-December 2023, and our camper is now in storage nearby. The tax has been suspended, we no longer have any costs. But we do look back on a fantastic camper year. Where haven’t we all been? It all started on March 1. And the trip was planned towards Brittany.
Whether that was such a good idea, we’ll see now. Our first stage goes via Antwerp to the French border. We are just across the border in France, just across the border with Belgium. And it’s called Bray-Dunes here, near Dunkirk. And I have to be honest, it is deathly cold here.
Stage number 2…Mont Saint Michel. And you can see from the clothes that it is not much warmer. Then a short drive towards Saint Malo. And what is striking is the big difference between ebb and flow. Ton, what do you think? Very beautiful here. Brittany.
Yes, full of surprises. What a beautiful view, isn’t it? Fantastic, unexpectedly beautiful. A little further west again. Trégastel. The land of Asterix and Obelix. This is Obelix. This camper place is a camper place without any facilities. Yes we have water, and you can put your stuff here, but we have no electricity.
And that’s a shame, because if I want to work on the laptop, that’s not possible here at all. But despite that, it is a perfect place, because we have walked here, there is an environment here that we do not know at all in the Netherlands.
Large stones, we have a huge difference between high and low tide, we are amazed. but I do think that we will leave tomorrow for another place with electricity. Hot water with gas takes some getting used to. Yes it gets hot! Camaret-sur-Mer. A beautiful beach, Plage de Pen Hat.
Well done Tony! Nice right. Well done. Our Brittany trip is a bit of a disaster. I really have to say. We have a lot of bad weather. When it is dry, we experience very beautiful things, and we have long seen that Brittany is a fantastically beautiful country. Loctudy.
Congratulations! Thank you dear. March 12, 1953. My God! Comments are unnecessary. Health everyone! On the film crew of Tem On Tour. Grand Champ. We are all alone here in this beautiful camper spot. The weather is bad now. Tomorrow it looks like it will be dry around noon.
And then you see that it rains rains rains every day. And it just rains continuously. And I think that’s a bit of a letdown. That is very unfortunate. We actually want to end it well, and we have almost made the decision. The day after tomorrow we will visit Spain.
And then in two stages, across the sea, towards Spain. Busy camper spot near the town of Bellcaire d’Empordà. The camper place is almost full. Lots of Germans, but of course also a few Dutch. Very nice area, and the coats can be taken off. The highlight of the 2023 cycling season.
We were able to experience it just after our walk this afternoon. Mathieu van der Poel wins Milan-San Remo. And via Campercontact we found this campsite: Ecocamping Rural Valle de La Fueva, near the village of Alueza. Super place! We are completely home alone, but our own bathroom,
Our own terrace, our own washing machine, our own swimming pool . A view from here to there, Let’s Go! The owner’s name is Carlos, and what an oasis this is! A very nice place, good food, good drinks. Joop, what is your conclusion? Good food, excellent food, cheese board, meat board,
Nice campsite here, eh? Top location! A good host. Of course! Perfect! A place to come back again. Back to France. The Pyrenees are now behind us. We went over the Bielsa Pass tunnel. Beautiful route. Really highly recommended. Also with the camper. Very easy to do.
Beautiful views. We have to speak French again. Lannemezan. By the way, French is better than Spanish. We were in Vivier sur Mer, on the Garonne. And we are now going to taste wine at Chateau Lauribert. Have you been able to make a choice yet Ton? This is also a very good one.
Also a beautiful place. Free, for up to two nights. They will come by soon with the rest. And then, near the French Alps, La Source campsite, owned by an English couple, Paul and Judy. I’m sitting here in a beautiful garden. Do you see that? Plants, flowers everywhere.
Was a beautiful ride. Very varied, lots of mountains. But we’re home alone again, aren’t we? But the surroundings are beautiful. We did have some difficulty leveling the camper properly. So that took some searching for the best spot. But this one is completely to our liking. It’s great here.
I can’t quite get it straight either, so we’ll probably roll towards each other tonight. But if that’s all! Tem On Tour likes to go on holiday. We have to say that honestly. But we also love good food.
Here we have lamb chops. We bought those chops in Spain straight across the border from Perpignan. And they taste wonderful. So yeah, why is vacation fun? That means looking around you and eating good food. Awesome. Tasty. Saint Vulbas.
Unfortunately, Tonny suffers from a bladder infection, and we have to go to a doctor’s office. All my old bones don’t work very well. A few kilometers above Metz you have the village of Amneville. We decided to drive home in two stages. Two peage stages. Today we drove over 400 km, over the Péage.
And we experienced two or three heavy showers. Gusts of wind, a lot of rain, water on the road. Yes, we had to take it easy. It wasn’t really nice, but it all went well. And now we are here in Amneville. Amneville is located near Luxembourg, so not far at all to Luxembourg.
And tomorrow we do the last stage. Code yellow again here. We’re really coming home again, aren’t we? Boy o boy. Actually we should have stayed in Spain with Carlos. But this is besides the point. We are on our way home and tomorrow we will get behind the wheel again.
We go home via the Ruhr area. And it’s raining here too. The conclusion is that it was a very nice holiday. Brittany is of course beautiful. We just had very bad weather, and that’s a shame.
But yes, whether you go in March, or you go in April, or you go in May, the climate of Brittany is approximately the same as that of the Netherlands. So it can freeze or it can thaw. And we were just unlucky.
Spain, on the other hand, was of course beautiful. Carlos is number one for us. And in that respect, it was a very nice holiday. But that wasn’t the end of the year. We’ll go further. And in our next video we will quickly return to Greece. Where? Greece. Until next time.

Punishment for bragging about our desert sun.
