All right good day to you here oh I’m on the rocket yeah the Rocket 3 um out and about and I thought I’d try and find something just as quick as the rocket I know something just as powerful or more powerful um don’t know if you’ll be able to hear me over the
Wind um but obviously we’re on open road and I’m doing just about the speed limit yeah uh how am I finding it absolutely love it but one of the questions um that keeps going over in my head is yeah it’s fast yes it’s powerful yes it’s big yes it’s
Heavy but is it capable of being used as a just an ordinary bot bike um well I’ve indicated already in my past reviews of it is initially I was apprehensive about it but the more I ride it that just dwindles away because it just instills confidence in you um there’s nothing you
You can’t really do with it that you would do with any other bike in fact any other special bike um yeah so I mean for instance we shall cut through here Um and just low speed back roads um it is no problem I don’t know what people think of it when they see it um the possibly all those initial feelings of intimidation and uh Power I guess is what people think um or maybe they don’t I’d be interested to Know I mean one of the first things that struck me was that’s got that has got to handle like a camel And you know what it doesn’t no it just handles like any other big motorbike um yeah obviously it’s not it’s it’s not a race Bike um I think we’ll go down here yeah so if you know the area you might sort of guess where I am actually trying to head for um and what I might do is bring you back in a little while um when I get closer to what I’m looking for

Mean I think that might uh give the rocket a run for its money me which is marvelous isn’t it yeah good to know um yeah very interesting chap um what a marvelous um job they all did so nice and steady um um back home yeah um I’ve done a fair few miles on
It uh whilst I’ve had it got another day with it um but the forecast isn’t that clever um but we’ll see what what occurs yeah it is so incredibly smooth at slow speed that’s what I don’t care is that something with so much poke is just so smooth going slowly yeah um
There are those that’ll say yeah it’s no good for this and you won’t be able to go down the slow roads and all that lot but I tell you what I’ve been in town I’ve been down bumpy old roads I’ve been on the A14 the more I ride it the more
Comfortable I get on it oh we’re still in a 30 um and you can get bags for it uh um yeah you’re going to be a bit limited touring on it oh but it’s just so smooth I mean if you racked it and youd need bigger undercarriage than I’ve got to R this
Um I bet it goes like stink and handles pretty damn well as well yeah I struggle with feet forward even on this I’ve almost forgot that they are foot his foot forward but I do struggle to um throw them about with my foot’s forward I don’t know why
Um but there you go it’s just the way it is right and then we’re on to this road which is a nice open road I’m giving the cars plenty of time to clear oh naughty boy bike did you see that Marvelous um I’ll tell you what I do need to do though I need to tighten up a helmet I know don’t want that coming on living with the rocket real life no different to a motor any other motorbike I’ve already said that it’s it is incredible for what it

3973rd🙄… one consideration is running cost. One of the reasons I sold my beloved Harley ultra classic was the cost of services, parts, tyres etc. Two tyres & rear brake pads cost me $1000aus. I wonder how the beautiful rocket fairs in this department? Although I can Mrs.Taym having her way despite any on going cost issues 😋. Hooroo for now mate
Have to agree re the foot foward riding position and kicking on a little i don't feel attached to the bike enough…but what a beautiful machine and hows the sound…sonorous. thanks TAYM

The Rocket is like the Hayabusa , Until you have ridden one you don't realise just how easy they are to live with and ride whatever the roads.
Buccaneer difficult to park and fuel consumption means you won't be retiring ever. 😂

The legendary Blackburn Buccaneer is one of my favourite aircraft👍👍. In it's heyday, when the Royal Fleet Air Arm operated it, it would fly at a lower altitude than most Triumph Rockets and most definitely faster. I hope there is a budget to give that gate guard a good painting and spruce up 😁😁.
Excellent Mr Taym. Good call with the Buccaneer but I think it has a slight edge over the Rocket, wouldn't want the fuel bill though😂😂
When you opened it up on that country road it made laugh😂. Seeing the countryside in full bloom is great, bring on spring and summer. As Eric and Ernie sang, bring me sunshine, bring me sunshine happiness!!🌞🌞

Brilliant decision TAYM, reminds me of late 60's when up in Scotland on top of not so high a hill and 3 of them, Buccs not Rockets, flew below me! Usually Bosses make the decisions so why have you not got one for Lady TAYM then?

Nice video TAYM but for me the rocket is to big and to heavy for an every day bike and if you can’t ride it every day then there’s no point plus the cost to buy and service it’s a no from me Mr T 😉

Ah the marvellous Rocket 3 GT yet again, the best engineered bike in the world full stop. Then again I've got good reason to be biased 😂 This isn't the final video I was hoping for though, no Mrs TAYM for a final opinion and no comparison between the R and the GT. Although the R gives you the mid pegs and perhaps allows use of the knees gripping the tank to turn, I think the higher raked back bars on the GT make changing direction easier. My only gripe is no reverse gear, it's a pig to move if there's any sort of incline at all. Hill hold is a real boon, it saves worrying if stopped on an incline. Black Beauty awaits trial and approval of two equestrians, if you can make it North next year 😀😁

I have over 72,000 miles on my 2020 GT now and still loving it. I have ridden it in major metropolitan areas, in areas with 100 miles between gas stations, below sea level, over 10,000 feet elevation, on freeways, on very twisty roads, to the shopping center, in snow, in over 110 degrees Fahrenheit, over 1100 miles in one day, etc., In my opinion it is the best all around cruiser in existence. I even ride with some sport bike groups on occasion, and I am usually toward the front of the pack. Yea the best riders on good sports bikes I cant keep up with but I certainly do not slow down the pack. Plus with the Triumph panniers I went on a 10 day 3000 mile trip with no problems carrying enough luggage. When this Rocket wears out I will be getting another one. The bike makes you grin on every ride, who does not like that?
Thanks TAYM. More torque than a COP28 summit 🤭. Bet you didn't want to give it back 😊. At the DGR two years ago one of our marshalls had a Rocket 3. Very effective at blocking roundabouts so we could all get through. Mind you, you could block all three lanes of a motorway with it 🤭. The Honington gate guardian reminds me of a joke, only the punchline of which I remember.

Taym I have only ridden the original and remember the footboards scraping on roundabouts which rightened a little muscle as wasn’t my bike. If you like this please if you can try and test a Ducati diavel v4. The bike is intoxicating. Power / handling. There is a vlog on here comparing the 2 and the Ducati is quicker. I would have either just as a niche bike. On uk roads though so expensive to buy, run and maintain. And a newer 12 bhp 125 seem to be able to cruise at 60 mph.
