Custom stainless steel frame (columbus xcr) from Cicli Barco! So I wanted a newly produced steel frame with custom geo and in my world the choice of frame builder was an easy one. For the frame we had to make some adjustments to the custom geo since I wanted a horizontal top tube. Tubing was also selected for the smallest diameter for no other reason that large diameter tubes are ugly. The small heart behind the headset has my daughters initials on it since she will one day inherit this beauty 🙂
On the component side I had a few particular things I really really wanted, mainly a 5 arm crankset, NOS campa aero seat post (that i had cicli barco panto for me) and dura ace 7800 pedals. I also wanted a silver groupset which basically limited me to the centaur 11s groupset. I was contemplating hunting down a nos campa chorus/record 10 groupset but simply didn’t have the time nor energy for this
In total it took 10 months from initial contact to completion. Cicli barco has throughout the +120 mails been phenomenal and provided valuable input for some of my less than optimal ideas 🙂 frame + custom stainless steel fork from cicli barco weigh in at 2350 gram. Total price inc components landed on just south of 6k eur, alot of money sure but still half the price of some carbon bikes (which in itself is kind of insane).
Components:
Campagnolo centaur 11s groupset in silver with white cable housing
Campagnolo chorus 10s crankset (nos)
Shimano dura ace 7801 pedals (used but in good condition)
Campagnolo chorus Aero seatpost (nos) with custom panto done by cicli barco
Campagnolo record headset
Nitto pearl stem
Nitto m106 Nas handlebar
Brooks c17 saddle
Brooks cambium handlebar tape
Campagnolo nucleon wheels with silver spokes (used but in good condition)
Conti gp5000 with tubes
The eagle eyed reader will notice the abscesses of Bottle cages, and yes, I still wake up in the middle of the night with night terrors from, still, not being able to decide on Bottle cages. I’m, however, leaning towards nitto bottle cage r.

Really nice but my inner monk hates the way the cables are routed in front
