Couldn’t agree more. Iowa riding was the biggest surprise to me when moving to the area a few years ago. Let’s not advertise it too much, though; love how it’s just me and my friends out there.

spent some time in cedar rapids a few years back for work and was impressed with the unpaved trail network they had through the area

I can think of a lot of reasons I wouldn’t want to live in Iowa, but the riding isn’t one of them. RAGBRAI alone would be a huge incentive to be a local there.

But it’s Iowa.
I’m sure the roads are great, but there are more beautiful, better weather areas in the country that id rather ride than Iowa.
