Its safe to say that I’ve officially done all TOCs in the UK except Hull Trains!
CrossCountry Vomiter seating plan can be found here – https://www.crosscountrytrains.co.uk/on-board-with-crosscountry/our-trains
Walkthrough of a typical overcrowded CrossCountry Vomiter. This was 220023 doing the 1V58 1003 Edinburgh to Penzance (previously an HST working until they were withdrawn in September 2023) calling at Berwick-upon-Tweed (1047), Newcastle (1139), Durham (1153), Darlington (1212), York (1243), Leeds (1311), Wakefield Westgate (1323), Sheffield (1355), Derby (1431), Tamworth (145), Birmingham New Street (1512), Cheltenham Spa (1552), Bristol Parkway (1622), Bristol Temple Meads (1647), Taunton (1719), Tiverton Parkway (1732), Exeter St Davids (1749), Newton Abbot (1809), Totnes (1821), Plymouth (1854), Liskeard (1918), Bodmin Parkway (1931), St Austell (1949), Truro (2009), Redruth (2021), St Erth (2037) and Penzance (2047), coupled with 220032 from Bristol Temple Meads to Plymouth. This service like many others was delayed (some were cancelled) due to 802102 (1C55 0600 London Paddington to Penzance via Bristol Temple Meads) failing at at Teignmouth due to a high tide in the Dawlish area caused by #stormbabet. Many attempts were made at rescuing 802102 but they failed before eventually succeeding. 802102 was towed back to Bristol by 800006 as 5C55. I didn’t record the journey as I was only onboard from Liskeard to St Erth. If I didn’t get on the Vomiter then I would be stranded at Liskeard! All CrossCountry train types, including the now withdrawn HSTs only have manual announcements from the train manager or other member of staff onboard.
