I can get the [Norco](https://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/fat-bike/bigfoot/2022-bigfoot-3/) for $1300 CAD and the [Louis Garneau](https://www.louisgarneau.com/en_ca/gros-louis-3-libik0088) for $1100 CAD. As Louis Garneau is concentrating on clothing exclusively, their bikes are at a discount.

Is Louis Garneau’s bike as good as Norco’s? This will be my first fat bike but I intend to keep it for a while. In 10 years’ time, I won’t remember the $200 difference but I don’t want to throw money down the drain either.

And there’s the aesthetics side of things (I know, I’m shallow, my GF already told me that), I find the straight top tube to be nicer visually that the curved one on LG’s.

What do you think?

  1. I’ve ridden both and prefer the Norco but the Costco price is irresistible. For anyone considering a fatty, the Garneau is an extremely safe bet and at that price you can almost keep it as a second bike for friends, visitors, kids, etc.
