I can get the [Norco](https://www.norco.com/bikes/mountain/fat-bike/bigfoot/2022-bigfoot-3/) for $1300 CAD and the [Louis Garneau](https://www.louisgarneau.com/en_ca/gros-louis-3-libik0088) for $1100 CAD. As Louis Garneau is concentrating on clothing exclusively, their bikes are at a discount.
Is Louis Garneau’s bike as good as Norco’s? This will be my first fat bike but I intend to keep it for a while. In 10 years’ time, I won’t remember the $200 difference but I don’t want to throw money down the drain either.
And there’s the aesthetics side of things (I know, I’m shallow, my GF already told me that), I find the straight top tube to be nicer visually that the curved one on LG’s.

Gros Louis 3 is 699 CAD on Costco.ca 😉
I’ve ridden both and prefer the Norco but the Costco price is irresistible. For anyone considering a fatty, the Garneau is an extremely safe bet and at that price you can almost keep it as a second bike for friends, visitors, kids, etc.
