Episode 8 of The Speed Operation is here! In this episode I continue building my speed and power in preparation for the summer 2024 Track & Field season, with the European Championships & Olympic Games as the main goals. Over these couple of weeks I manage to put in lots of hard work on the track, with multiple running sessions based around both speed and endurance, along with increasing weights intensity in the gym.
I also travel down to Loughborough for the weekend to take part in an elite performance weekend, where I undergo some sprint and jump testing to inform my training going forwards for the next few weeks.
Both my running and lifting performances are seeing great improvements, so I’m excited to keep pushing forward as we approach the indoor season in the new year.
Please make sure to like, subscribe, and leave a comment if there’s anything you want to see in the future.
Thanks for watching!

3.75s from 1st movement is too fast to be 90%..
how fast do you usually run flying 30 meters in training when you're in shape?
Loved seeing BTS of the training camp ❤️🔥❤️🔥
What bike workouts have you been doing, I saw one was 12x45secs 1:30 rest
This video successfully kept me engaged for all 30 minutes and it didn't even feel like 30 minutes. Keep up these videos they're amazing
Great videos! Would like to see a portion of the video on what shoes you wear for training, lifting/plyo and spikes. We rarely have access to a track so we have to run in a parking lot or work on very short starts indoors (15m) and are curious what trainers you like. Thx!
Love the video Joe, thanks. Great content and storytelling, love the music, transitions and general pace of this excellent video. Congratulations on the Sheffield club awards, well done, another confidence booster. You're clearly growing in confidence as an athlete and a video creator, wish you every success as you move forward. James
I am beginning to look forward to these videos more and more every week!! I think a lot Athletes would love to see recovery methods or tips to help them reach new limits in their training… personally I have been using the ocean throughout the winter and make good use of the sauna at our local rec complex during my rest days… See you next week 💪🥶
Great video
How tall are you btw
Well done on the club awards.
Didn't you have a bicep issue last week? Has that cleared?
What’s these instrumentals ??
If you could attach them please 🙏🏽
Hi, love your videos, but could you maybe tell us more about the rest times, rep times etc. Would love to learn from you even more. Anyways keep it up
