Looking for a bike recommendation for my son. He’s been riding on borrowed bikes for a little while at the local park so he’s not a total beginner. Already sized him up and we’re looking for 20-inch wheels and 20 or 20.25 top tube. Mainly park riding but some street, a good solid all-round bike that will be a good basis for upgrades. Would like to pay no more than £400 ($500). Any ideas?
So I (32M / 220lb) recently bought a crappy Haro bmx bike to ride around the neighborhood on with my son, but I have really been enjoying it and want to get more into BMX and want to buy a real bike. Basically, from what I have gathered is I want a full chromoly bike and double wall wheels. I have found a couple beat up kink whips and kink switch’s, but I just came across an incredible condition Sunday Soundwave and I already talked to the guy and he’s willing to go to $500. Is that total overkill for a first real bike or should I just jump on the deal?
