Beyond excited to announce that I will turn pro together with @TourdeTietema

It’s less than a year since I decided to switch from triathlon to cycling – so to turn pro already next year is unreal!!

A big shoutout to Team Coop Repsol for giving me the opportunity this year and helping me develop as a cyclist! It has been an amazing year with even greater people!

  1. Not surprising at all, if it was becoming a pro BMX, Downhill, or other skill related cycling discipline that would be impressive, but honestly road, gravel, and some forms and places of MTB are basically a pure aerobic fitness sport with little riding skill involved even at the top levels, the skill level is actually dismal at best. I am really surprised more distance runners don't pick up cycling and go nearly straight to pro, many runners have some crazy fitness that translates extremely well to the bike, it doesn't work the other way around.

  2. Congratz! I subbed when Wielerflits announced your signing to the new team. Looking forward to next season, and might have to do some catching up with your earlier videos. πŸ˜‰

  3. @cedrikbakkechristophersen how does one take the path to getting onto a pro team like yourself? what races etc did you get into to get noticed and how do you get into them?
