The sea defence didn't do much to stop flooding, I lived there a couple of years ago above boots chemist. I'll be back there someday, it's a brilliant place.
Definitely stronger than the last storm that caused damage about five years ago. Around where the three flooded cars are, there is a continuous flower bed built into the top of a wall running just behind the main sea wall. Much more of it got knocked down this time!
On the plus side, the giant crane put up on the esplanade recently to help replace a block of flats, didn't come down, and shows no visible damage. U Thanks for posting.
