This is the 2023 LOOK 795 RS Blade as ridden by the Cofidis Team in this years Pro Tour. This is the most comprehensive review of a road bike we have ever made. We build it and dissect all the tiny details of quality. We ride it, hard and fast, then comprehensively discuss our findings and compare to other hyper bikes like the Trek Madone SLR 7, the Specalized S-Works SL8, the Pinarello Dogma F and others.

  1. I have a Look 585 from 2007. Running DA-7900 with rim brakes. Love that bike. Looking eventually at the 785. Would love to see your take on that frameset.

  2. Very fast but high road buzz factor is common with this categpry of road bicycle which can disappoint some purchasers . I have seen people buy in this market sector and later regret it .

  3. My Mondrian built comes at over 1500000yen with Roval Alpinist wheels and Ultegra gs. And other light bits. Since I decided not to own a car anymore I actually enjoyed splashing on this bike with abandon. I own several and I didn't really need it but it's nice to make all my friends green with envy. They all own cars. Is their money better spent?

  4. No wonder the bike industry and the race scene is dying in this country.
How can they justify 10K for a bike when you can buy a nice car for the same money.
I just wish 2012 hadn’t happened and we didn’t have this middle class weekend warrior pastime now.
We used to have a good race scene and reasonably priced race bikes and now we have Sportives and ugly Instagram gravel bikes marketed as race bikes.
It’s so depressing watching the sport which was once so inclusive dying.

  5. Great bike, I know that feeling "it just wants to keep going faster' I have a Felt AR4 Aero bike and that is just a beast for speed as well! Sometimes it cycles itself and you just feel like you are putting in minimal effort and it just keeps getting faster!

  6. Do you have any comparison to a SL8 (non S-works)? Deciding between the two bikes. Is the blade uncomfortable? Was able to ride the SL8 ans it was plenty comfy. Wont be able to ride the look though.

Also, the handlebar looks like they dont have any flare and you bang your forearms against it when sprinting…

  7. Some may consider this blasphemy, nonetheless my dream is this beautiful bike built with either ultegra or Dura-Ace… using a flat bar! Could you build such a beauty? Are there flat bar shifters that will work with non-electronic Dura-Ace or ultegra? Does the stem negate the incorporation of a flat bar? Thanks for your wonderful content!
