I am installing shimano deore xt cranks onto a commencal clash frame. The bottom bracket is a press fit shimano bbmt800pa, the shell width is 89.5, so there is a 2.5 mm spacer. The non drive side crank arm seems like it should sit farther onto the spindle, correct? What am I doing wrong here?

It does look a tad out. Sometimes if needs a little deadblow hit to insert fully.
Does the safety clip pin engage in the spindle hole correctly?
