Did I mess up? I removed the spaces, but accidentally unwinded the fork tool too much in the process, and now I can’t put it back in. I can’t hit the hole for the life of me. Sorry for the shitty pic.

With the 12 Nm screw loose, you should be able to push down to manually seat the headset. Then the fork tool will work to fully seat the headset.
The cables get in the way and the thread is realy hard to hit… Took me some time when I adjusted the aeroad of a friend. You didn’t mess up as far as I can see but it’s just an annoying task.
