This is the 5th time that I’ve sheared the peg side bolt on my profile mini. Should I be looking at a stronger hub for my grinds? Lose more of the dad bod? Is this expected for bad landings (most of the shears occur If I don’t hop high enough and the back peg hits the side of the ledge).[:( sheared again](https://imgur.com/a/c3m6DQo)

What size is the bolt? Please be 14mm. And it’s cro-mo yea? Not titanium.
If it’s 14mm and cro-mo, it should be fine for grinding.
Rider weight and/or technique also make a big difference.
It still shouldn’t break even if you hit the ledge wrong until after you’ve hit it wrong a more then a couple hundred times and depends how fast you were moving and the speed you were coming down.
Profile usually sells some pretty solid goods. But what can happen from side loading the hub is your turning that bolt hole into an oval. If theres any amount of play when you install a new bolt then the internal axle is fucked and your just going to keep snapping bolts. Sell the hub for parts and get something with a male 14mm axle. Female axles/hubs are lighter, but in this case you need stronger.
Ive put my shitty salt hub with a 14mm male axle through some shit and used it as a hammer a few times to stright my wheel…honestly not sure how you made it through 5 bolts.
Are you doing lots of big drops to grinds? Or technical grinds?
Edit. I browsed your profile on reddit and you arent nearly big enough or ride/grind hard enough to do that much damage. I think you’ve got a defective profile hub. Send it back for warranty.
If that’s a female axle swap hubs for one with a male axle.
Profile quality has been getting worse for some time now unfortunately. The gdh 14mm male axle should hold up with no issues for grinding, if it was the female axles version it’d to a degree be understandable as they’ve always had issues, but yeah if you’re going through male axles then it’s a bit of a surprise
Not just you I’ve broken plenty of hollow axles in profiles, also some female axles, solid seems to be the best
