🇩🇪 Christmas Markets of Essen, Germany in 2023 – 4K HDR 60fps Walking Tour🎄

In this video, I’m showing you a walking tour around the Christmas Market in the German city of Essen. It was filmed on a chilly winter night in December 2023. We’ll begin close to the main station at the Willy-Brandt-Platz where this year no Christmas market is stationed. Then we’ll head slowly to the Kennedyplatz, where the international Christmas Market is located. We’ll also explore the surrounding area at Flachsmarkt, where the Medieval Christmas market is located, to show you some other interesting sights. Experience the stunning Christmas lights on your walk and explore many stalls featuring handmade goods and delicious Christmas treats. The aroma of roasted almonds, mulled wine, and hot potato pancakes fills the air. With approximately 170 stalls, the Essen Christmas market is one of the most impressive in western Germany and has received numerous accolades for its variety and charm. Essen is the central and, after Dortmund, second-largest city of the Ruhr, the largest urban area in Germany. Its population of 579,432 makes it the fourth-largest city of North Rhine-Westphalia after Cologne, Düsseldorf and Dortmund, as well as the ninth-largest city of Germany.
