    Its the fixed cup, so you usually leave it in. Unless you plan on working on lots of vintage bikes, it may not be worth buying.’

    These fixed cups can get stuck, as they are reverse threaded and they often have not been touched in 30 years.

  2. We used to put this cup in a bench vice and rotate the frame. Everyone had that special tool. Left hand thread. If it’s no good it has to come out. Big vice solidly mounted. Done up tight. Frame absolutely parallel with the vice jaws.

    Mainly because if I were to buy a tool, it either has to have a lot of use even if for a particular application, or have multiple uses. That adjustable wrench has a slim jaw.

    Edit: Wanted to add. The wrench would work on the notched side though.

  4. Spend $20 on an oversized adjustable a horrible freight, we’ll with it for right side cups and threaded headsets
