5000km is pretty good & those tyres look alright for that distance.

But rubber cracks usually because of embrittlement due to ozone exposure, so if you’re super concerned then try not to store your bike around any electric motors, or other things that might cause arcs & sparks or otherwise create ozone.
Generally indoors is best as the atmosphere is more stagnant & has lots of other things for the atmospheric ozone to react with before it finds your bike

Oh, and those tyres look fine. Cracking isn’t anything you need to worry about, see [Sheldon Brown’s](https://www.sheldonbrown.com/tires.html#replacement) article on tyres for some info

  2. Probably those tires dried out and hardened.
After 5000 km the profile should be worn out at this point.

  3. How the fuck are you getting 5000kms on those? Are you an anorexic midget on a carbon race bike?

I’ve got a set of these pathfinder pros 38×700 that I’m not using if you want them. Are you in UK?

  5. Still good. I have the same tires and I cannot explain why the tread won’t wear down. I’m 200-225 depending on beer.
