These werw given to me today wondering if it would be worth my time to restore or keep as is also what are they called?

Old school stuff right there. Those are called Mags (which are basically plastic rims). They were pretty cool in the 80s/early 90s. Although they look cool, they are heavier than spoked rims and tend to flex a lot when ridden hard.

Worth restoring? Maybe if you just want them for the retro looks but as I said they are worse than spokes so I wouldn’t really bother if you’re looking to really use them.
