A steam engine in a vicarage. Oh what fun. I appreciate the mention, thank you. Keep wandering Paul and enjoy your travels.
Good Avening! π. I couldn't resist that! What a pretty village and a relaxing video to watch while sitting in a warm house. Yes Paul that star…va….tion….er box boat is a mouthful ….! Strange name indeed….because the sections looked like ribs….not very politically correct π.
Hi Paul, What a great place for your vlog. It looked cold hope you were alright with your back.
I saw the loco in the vicarage and I remembered reading about the Rev Teddy Boston who built a narrow gauge railway in his garden, Wikipedia tells me that he was immortalised as the "Fat Clergyman" in The Railway Series children's books by the Rev. W. Awdr, but I don't remember that character (something to ask Santa for this yearπππ) …. What is it about the clergy in the UK? They also got in the act in the Titfield Thunderbolt!!
The Lilly bridge was an amazing find, I love seeing these old photos, many thanks to the gentleman who pointed you in this direction. It reminded me of the Bailey Bridge that for many years was outside the Broad Oak works when I was an apprentice. It crossed the mainline into Portsmouth. It was only wide enough for one car but it was bidirectional as you can imagine it gave rise to lots of problems as reversing down it wasn't much fun!!
This week I've been busy following the Acequia Gorda through Granada, it's really hidden out of the way, but I've found one or two clues and some amazing historical maps.
Enjoyed seeing the epitaphs for Pressman and his wife. You weaved some great film posters into the videoππ
Great vlog, well done, have a great week.
Hi Paul nice video and update π
Hello Paul – greetings from Poland.
Feeling much better thanks. Thanks so much for the mention. Lovely to hear from other subscribers who enjoy your channel as much as I do.
Loved Avening, it's walks, beauty and history. Superb video, beayutifully photographed. Sorry you got a bit damp. We are now under snow!
I really enjoyed that – thank you Paul! Avening looks beautiful. Wow! You have achieved so much this month again! Thank you very much for the mentions!
Too much talk. Show more of that incredible scenery
Avening looks lovely, the dampness seems to make everything seem more lush and alive π
You're right about the Fry's factory in Somerville, Keynsham, it's now sadly flats.
You've managed to film so much this month despite the challenging weather, meanwhile, I was cowering away in the warm, thanks for taking us with you on your adventures!
And thanks for mentioning my comment π
Lovely part of the shire πππ.Many years ago l went to a friend's wedding at chavenage house.Such a interesting place loads of history worth a visit.Avening worth a visit too. Cheers for posting Paul
Thankyou for that update, Paul. Most interesting!
What a wonderful little place Avening is, with great film connections. I always enjoy your vlogs, looking forward to your Christmas videos.
I did enjoy this compilation- itβs good to jog our memories of all the places & topics you have covered in just a month. When you take stock itβs just amazing all the subjects you embrace & all these topics take time to research- something I never take into consideration so thank you for such a varied channel.
Just to say – I donβt think itβs really relevant- Chavenage has that same word βavenβ in it- probably a coincidence!
Thanks for the mention, I also recall my Nan talking of a man who new the way to walk across the Severn at low tide at avoiding the soft sand at Arlingham.
Ooo i got a mention. How grand.
400 videos. Goodness me, wheres the time gone?
