I am looking for a good quality multi-wrench tool (I honestly don’t know if that is the proper name of). I have one currently but it is very soft metal and I feel like it won’t last much longer.
It’s been great for my older bikes that don’t have quick release for the wheels and when doing a group ride with a newer rider it helped me fix saddle positions.

What sizes do you need? You should narrow that down before you get an oversized wrench with six extra sizes you’ll never use.

I haven’t used one of these multi wrenches, but I think an adjustable wrench would be better. I only carry an 8mm for my rack and fender mounts.
I’ve the Tern 2.0 Multitool and it’s quite good and lightweight.
They are all garbage… just buy what ever wrench size you need… I just carry an 8mm for rack bolts.
Some of the multitools don’t fit into small spaces or the individual tools aren’t long enough to fit due to the bulk of the overall tool. Topeak and others make a ratchet with multiple bits which could cover most of the fasteners on a bike. Star, hex but not always sockets. Walmart sells one that seems like it would, but you could always add in extra bits as necessary and of course leave out what you don’t need for a trip. I’m sure there are others out there that could be lighter or cheaper, I’ve just seen this one readily available.

Edit: of course this won’t work where an open ended wrench is needed like hubs and most pedals.
