Maybe I’m just missing it, but I’m not seeing the asking price. That aside, That’s exactly what I want in a bikepacking bike. Trail capable with a big triangle to fill with a frame bag. Great components.
EDIT: actually clicked on the image and saw the price. My bad. That’s a killer deal if it fits. I, unfortunately am not Thor, Son of Odin, but a mere mortal.
Honestly a bit steep on price imo. I’d consider offering $500. But yes all and all an excellent starter bike. I actually just picked up an El Mariachi for my beater cruising around bike. Super solid.
Note you will probably be limited in piece meal upgrades on the drivetrain. X7 and x9 are probably 9 speed stuff. Not bad in and of itself, but you will be in for a whole upgrade of the cranks, cassette, chain derailleur and shifters to get to something modern and 12 speed. Not saying you will need it anytime soon just for planning if you do want to upgrade.
Looks like good buying. I’d expect to pay about $1,000 NZD for it if it came on the market here
