Your chainring is shot. Completely worn out. It will ruin your new chain. Good chance you need a new cassette too at this point.

There is no way you need one of those of you have a not totally worn out narrow wide chairing and a rear derailleur with a clutch. I don’t even drop chains on my mountain bike, and I ride on blacks and double blacks at speed. My gravel bike doesn’t see the same roughness, is set up as a one by, and never dropped a chain. If you are dropping, your chain guide will definitely keep the chain on the ring, but it is disguising other issues.
Looks great. But if you’re dropping your chain you have a problem, either worn out hardware or something is bend. If installed correctly the chain should never drop.
