Was running WTB Riddlers. On Conti Terra Speeds now. Beginning my search for the ultimate do it all setup. Only thing locked in so far is tubeless. All else up for debate.

Tufo Thundero 38mm front, Tufo Speedero 38mm rear. Tubeless. If I rode more slippery surfaces I’d run Thundero both ends.. Fast on pavement, controlled on gravel/dirt tracks
Gravel King slick. Not good for there. lol. TPU tubes. 700×38 at 30-35 psi.

still on my stock ones: Maxxis Ramblers 700×50. converted to tubeless. seem pretty good on the hardpacked trails near my area
Tufo thunderos 45c
Rene Herself 700 X 44 Manastash Ridge. They’re really a sweet spot for me. Not sluggish but good grip in loose surfaces.
Gravel King SK 700X38 for smooth gravel and sometimes road. We have a lot of proper dirt roads up in New England and these work well for that. They deal with chunky stuff fairly well, but suck in wet thick mud. I use this bike on the road more, and have a road wheelset for that.
Teravail Cannonball Light and Supple 700×42 for the rough stuff (I will be swapping them out next year, they don’t handle stuff that rough very well). Probably going to toss some Teravail Rutlands back on, those tires RIP and are worth the pain on the pavement. I may just set the Cannonballs aside for the occasional trip with more gravel.
WTB Nano TCS mated to HED Ardennes for anything chunky, or loose, or single track fuckery for a bombproof and grippy setup.
Gravelking slicks 700×43 with 45mm carbon wheels for tamer endurance adventures where pavement will be dominant surface.
Pirelli cinturato M in 45mm: Over 3000km and no issues on wet, dry, single track, mud. Lots of tread still and probably another 3000+km to go.
Road I use Challenge Strada Bianca Pro in 33mm. It’s meant for bad roads, hard packed dirt roads and super comfy. Fast enough to keep up with roadies, and okay enough for maintained trails.
Vittoria Terreno Dry 48 on my 650 wheels for rougher terrain.
Vittoria Terreno Zero 38 on my 700cl wheels for everything else. The Zeros are surprisingly capable on rough terrain, too.
I generally avoid wet/mud situations.
I tried Conti Terra Speeds on the 700’s but one had a manufacturing defect and threw off my true. It took me WAY too long to figure out the tire was the problem. I trashed them out of spite. Also the tread on those wears down really fast if they touch pavement.

Specialized Pathfinder Pro 700×42. Just got them. Converted to tubeless at the same time. So far like them a lot more than my stock WTB Riddlers. I heard the Pathfinder Pro is popular at Unbound and I live in the same area so I figured I would give them a shot.
45mm WTB Riddlers, loving the higher volume and lower pressures.
Tufo Thunderos 40mm. Have a set of 44mm I will put on next Spring. Love them.
Also have a set of wheels with 50mm Schwalbe G-One Overlands. They are great for rougher terrain.
Vittoria Mezcals in 700/44 on one bike and 650/2.2ish on other. I’ve been doing too much sealed paths on the 54’s so trying Pirelli Cintauro H in 45s next.
Running some Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H 43c, as I mainly ride roads ATM but love the cornering and the ballooning size. I also have one Gravel M for the front tire for winter, but it means I’d have to redo my tubeless setup…
So I’m waiting on new 650b wheels I’m going to get build and set up with the biggest Continental Terra Speed I can fit (57mm). I’ll be able to slowly ride in the muddy tracks that wait for me to fall in them in the nearby forest!
Maxxis Rambler Silkshield 45c Blackwall
Narrowest are 42s and the widest on a gravel-ish bike are 2.8 Schwalbe g ones. I’m slow so the wider the better.
