Today, I’ll talk about my experience with Nico, a friendly policeman-journalist from a village of Provence. He introduced me to the Château-neuf-du-pape region, known for its award-winning French wines. However, I’m not a wine drinker.
We indulged in a wine tasting session. For me, the wine from Château-neuf-du-pape was too potent, tart, and not particularly to my taste. But I did find enjoyment in the homemade hazelnut alcohol made by a lady. Despite my aversion to wine, the experience was fascinating.
They taught me about the intricacies of wine tasting, from the act of shaking the wine to oxygenate it, to the process of smelling the wine to identify its flavors before actually tasting it. I learned about the subtle details of wine appreciation, even though my personal preference didn’t align with drinking it.
It was an intriguing experience, despite my status as a non-drinker. My name is Patric, and I’ll catch you in the next video!
