Found a NOS Suntour Superbe Pro for $50, bought it for myself as an early Christmas present, currently using it as a fidget spinner, the bearings are just so incredibly smooth
The simple things in life are the best. I could spend a wonderful morning with a cup of coffee just unboxing this and appreciating all the effort that went into manufacturing this in Japan. Well done.

I used to ride a Suntour Superb Pro Track NJS approved group-set in the 90s. It was mint. It completely outshone Campagnolo Record Pista which was the only near competitor. The bearings on an all Superbe Pro kit are the best cup/cone bearings I’ve ever had or felt.

I don’t know if it’s just the samples I have experience with, but cup and cone bottom brackets feel like they roll so much better than sealed cartridge. I’m assuming it’s some friction in the seals, and it probably doesn’t make much of a difference in the real world.
