Was cleaning out my seatpost tube since I was experiencing some slipping of my seatpost. And it looks like there may be some rust forming there. I whipped at it with a wet cloth, so I’m pretty it isn’t dirt.
What should I do? Paint it? Send it in for a warranty tune up? My bike isn’t even a year old for what it is worth.

I usually just shoot some WD40 to give it anti rust, and make sure to DRY IT OUT so you don’t lubricate the tube.
nothing. the metal surface is treated. i had a classic Brompton from 98 and it looks like that. still worked fine
This is completely normal and will not harm your bike in any way.
