I don’t think I am looking at an adjustable stem. The adjustable stems are more for finding your happy place than a permanent component. From what I have seen, they are typically an inferior grade product, heavy and another potential point of failure.

  2. I rented a bike with an adjustable stem once. Would not recommend. Came loose on a steep fast descent.

No, but I seriously thought about it for my last trip. I was struggling finding a comfortable stem prior to leaving, and having the ability to change up the geometry mid-trip has advantages. I decided against it though. Like the other comment says, they’re usually cheap and add another potential failure point.

I did end up getting a redshift stem though! Not really a geometry thing, but it was a lifesaver on my gravel tour!

Riding position is a very personal thing, and without seeing you on the bike, all I can say is it looks fine.
