I’m not positive on the year model but on the rims I found a ’73 engraved. But when I try to research the 6 digit model number I get nothing. Any ideas on the value?
if it’s tuned up and doesn’t need anything significant, $100. if not, $50

Probably $100, but good luck selling it. People aren’t exactly lining up to buy vintage mixtes. Source: took me over a year to sell a vintage mixte for $75.

Looks like Methany has found some junk trying to sell.

Nothin, but it’ll be fun to ride once you put a little work into it.

French bikes have a special style. Much better looking than most US and Japanese bikes. Even better looking than Italian bikes, though the Italians have a bit more precision and exactitude on their side.

Those crank arms are long, lots of torque. The rear derailer is not original, Peugeot used the cheapest of Simplex. They shift quite well when they are intact. I have one identical to this one, only with delrin Simplex rear and front. Could be ’60’s due to; down-tube shifters, cottered cranks and brakes. I had to hunt for the rear tail-light lens; finally one given to me. It is total original. Fun to ride, too. Jump right off if need to. Those tires ride well on levees. 27″ tires, go big like 630-37. Original question of price; $200US with nothing done. This is N. coast CA. The Mafacs are excellent brakes for rim braking. The UE-18 was a solid touring bike for commuting service and short tours. Mixtes are popular, now.

From what I understand those Peugeot Mixtes are worth something. They could bring in at least 300-400 if fully restored. However, you could spend at least that to restore it. Do the math. I think they’re cool though and I’m sure other bike nerds do also so try bringing to a swap meet if you ever want to sell it as-is. Maybe you could get 150?

*Most* old rideable bikes that need nothing are worth about 100.
Those light switches don’t look American.
Where I live, around $100.
Looks almost like my Soma Buena Vista mixte which as we built it was in the $2k+ range. I love this bike.
So as posted yours is probably worth $100. But you could clean it up, throw lots of time and money at it, and have a poor man’s Buena Vista;
