Another noob question . . . both of these items were on the bottom of the triangle when I received my new C line. I know that the metal piece is a hook protector, and I know that it drops off very easily. I think I’ve put it back in the right place, can anyone confirm this?
But what is the purpose of the black sleeve rolled up around the frame next to it? From memory it was in the same spot as it is in the photos when I unboxed the bike. Am I right in thinking this is just to protect that part of the frame in transit, and as such I can throw it out?

The black rolled up sleeve is to set the seat height, the how to is in the instructions.
You have to put the frame protector where the front wheel hook sits so it won’t scratch
Location for metal piece is correct. Black piece is shipping protection and can be removed
My 2021 H6R has had the paint get damaged near the location of the black piece from the chain striking it there; I’m not sure if it happens when I coast, going over bumps (When coasting the chain goes slack), or if it’s happening when I do the fold.
