  1. [£585 in today’s money- for a bike made with British:](https://www.in2013dollars.com/uk/inflation/1953?amount=17)

    1. Frame
    2. Wheels
    3. Hubs
    4. Tires
    5. Brakes
    6. Saddle
    7. Seatpost
    8. Stem
    9. Spokes
    10. Crank
    11. Bearings

And keep in mind, this wasn’t their best deal.

~£21 got you a full framed lugged handmade 531 bike with alloy rims/stem/crank and Altenberger brakes and a raleigh dynamo hub with lights.

I don’t think offshoring and globalization has produced the better/cheaper goods when it comes to bikes, considering that a Pashley Princess Sovereign, a British handmade frame of similar-ish design, now costs £1000 on sale, and practically none of the rest of it is made in England.
