I took the train to Barnstaple and set off on my first two-day bike touring trip. The plan was to follow the North Devon coast to the Valley of Rocks before riding back towards South Devon the following day.
I quickly discovered that carrying extra weight changes everything. The climbs were much tougher than I expected, there were a few surprises along the way (including a tree falling right in front of me), and by Day 2 I had an important decision to make.
Thanks for watching! If you’ve ridden these roads before, I’d love to hear your favourite routes and stops in the comments.

well done. that looked like a tough couple of days but what a great adventure and challenge.
That route looked hard enough even before they tried to drop a tree on your head ….. its a good job you weren’t a few seconds earlier!
Oh that tree though 🥲 The views are breathtaking!
The best part is the ride down after a tough climb 😅
