I struggled to find the info I wanted specifically regarding the electric Brompton, so here are my findings for the record (and others wondering):

Yes the luggage rack fits and YES you get to keep working electric backlight (you have to move it as part of the process, but it’s existing lead is miraculously long enough)

You can lock the whole thing with one lock IF you get a multi-link job (mine is the 85cm lightweight), take the battery off and lock all to the frame / stand. Note: the seat does not quick release, so you do not need to separately loop in. Obviously I would only leave for short periods in “safe”ish spots; any longer/weirder fold it and take it with you!

Bumps can dislodge the battery and require a reset so don’t curb it too much! The battery contacts hate getting dirty, so get a can of specialist contact cleaner (WD do one) and your “it’s not working again!” woes will evaporate
