I spent three weeks crossing the Alps on singletrack and dirt roads.

I started in Slovenia, riding parts of the West Loop, and continued on through the Julian Alps. There, I took a few days off to recover from food poisoning before continuing on to the Dolomites. I spent two days hiking there and then carried on through the Zillertal toward the Wilder Kaiser massif.

Aside from the food poisoning, which I recovered from at the hotel, I slept in a tent or in bivouac huts.

There were a few connecting stretches on roads, but for the most part it was gravel trails and single tracks. Since I also had my hiking gear with me, my bike was pretty heavy, and I had to push it for a few hours.
