They hacked off arms, legs, and heads with axes; cut out tongues; severed noses and ears; gouged out eyes; mutilated genitals; and slit open bellies to drag out the entrails. They smashed heads with hammers. They threw living children into burning houses. They sawed living people in half. They cut off women's breasts. They impaled others on stakes or beat them to death with clubs. Many people were executed by having their arms and legs hacked off, followed finally by their heads. They threw grenades or bundles of burning straw into the underground hideouts and cellars where large numbers of people had managed to take refuge.

This is how Ukrainians and the UPA murdered Poles. She was pregnant. Banderovites ambushed her on the road. They devoted the entire day to her. They were in no great rush; they were testing just how long they could prolong her agony. First, they cut off her fingers one by one, then her toes; next, they severed her breasts, and then her tongue. Before the victim choked to death on her own blood, they began to flay her alive. Her screams could be heard for a kilometer around.

This is how Ukrainians and the UPA killed Poles. Mrs. Janina Kalinowska, who miraculously survived the massacre, recounts: "My godfather was returning just as the attack was taking place; they caught him, gouged out his eyes, cut off his nose and tongue, and sliced ​​off his ears. Then they bound his hands with barbed wire, attached ropes, and the murderer mounted a horse. He spurred the horse to a gallop, and the body was torn apart and dragged along the road. My godfather died in terrible agony."

This is how Ukrainians and the UPA killed Poles. Fugitives would reach the pedyky [local settlements] and find temporary shelter. Unfortunately, my father, Władysław, who suffered from asthma, fell behind.
That bandit caught up with him. It was a neighbor, Sashka Żółk, and Dad said to him: "Sashka, why do you want to kill me? What wrong have I done?" His arms were sprawled out. These were the recollections of Władysława Kamińska.

Let us now discuss the various methods—methods of torture and murder—that the UPA perpetrated against Polish citizens.
