Regarding the berms, do the track builders purposefully build them in a way that allows them to blow out? Is it a lack of time or effort? Or is it simply a limitation of the material they have to work with?
I think it was leogang that had some berms like concrete, why wouldn't the builders try to make all the berms like that?

It's just amazing the WC riders hit 60 ft gap jumps like nothing. Just part of the course. Also, commencal mucous, lol Charlie.
Charlie, i think it would be really cool to set up a motion-activated camera at one of the really soft, big berms, and get shots of what happens when it's hit like 200 times, like a time-lapse of the blow-out/rut developing after each rider. Would really showcase what people talk about when they say a berm is going to blow out, show people how quickly they develop.
Awesome videos Charlie, you're essential viewing now for sure. However I don't know who really cares about the size of the jumps, unless there's something especially big, I personally just assume they're BIG, and it's petty boring watching you measure them, great chat with the riders though and line analysis, more please

Thanks for the measuring of jumps and such. Being able to see a side view of the slopes and jumps helps me visualize what the riders are dealing with as POV cameras tend to flatten everything out. It could be that I'm new to all of this, and I'll get bored with it in time, but for now, it's appreciated.
