I got a revel rail 29 recently and have noticed a lot of movement in the rear wheel and a knocking noise sometimes. No creaking noise that others have mentioned. I’ve tracked down the movement to this lower pivot bolt which has an axel like setup and looks like it allows for horizontal movement. Is this normal on revel rear triangle to allow for horizontal movement at this lower pivot? I’ve torqued all bolts down and check axel torque and tried another wheelset. I’ve checked my other bikes and my buddies bikes and none of them have this kind of movement. Still waiting to hear back from revel so thought I’d ask here.

New bearings required…if your doing it urself dont cheap out get quality
Bearings or rear hub. Looks like your wheel is doing the most movement but hard to tell.
Take off rear wheel and inspect the hub. Might have to take off cassette. You can also inspect the bearings beforehand which would be quick… but that’s a lot of play for some pivot bearings
Sounds like that will be my next step thanks! Yeah they should be tighter together without space there from what I’ve seen on every other bike.

They have pretty outstanding customer service and will gladly help. I sold my Ranger due to the amount of play in the rear triangle. Drove me nuts.
A guy I occasionally ride with got this bike. It looked like a noodle when I was behind him. Later after the ride a few fellas were passing around video of him doing a rock roller with a compression on the roll out. It was striking how floppy it was compared to other rigs. It’s worse than a 2012 Jamis in the noodle factor.
