The day after Mont Ventoux is no rest — Stage 8 is the longest stage of the entire Tour de France Femmes 2026, 171.9 km from Sisteron across Haute-Provence to the Côte d’Azur. Officially labelled “flat,” this route animation shows exactly why that label doesn’t tell the whole story.

– First 76.5 km trend gradually uphill out of Sisteron
– Col des Robines — 2.6 km at 4.6%, around km 60 — the steepest ramp of the first half
– Col de Toutes Aures — 6.4 km at 3.1%, summit 1,124m — the highest point of the day
– From there, the route turns mostly downhill through the Var valley toward the coast
– Côte de Colomars — 1.4 km at 4.5%, inside the final 20 km
– Côte de la Ginestière — 2.5 km at 4.4%, inside the final 10 km — the last launch pad for late attacks
– Descent onto the Promenade des Anglais, finishing along the Mediterranean coast in Nice
🚴 With legs already emptied by Ventoux the day before, these two closing climbs are enough to make a clean bunch sprint unlikely — expect fatigued GC riders and opportunists both eyeing the finale, before the race’s mountainous grand finale around the Col d’Èze on Stage 9.
