British Cycling have dramatically stripped race organisers Sweetspot of the rights of hosting future editions of the Tour of Britain, with legal proceedings underway in what could become a lengthy court battle.
RadioCycling understands that Sweetspot owe hundreds of thousands of pounds to British Cycling, among others, and that could also affect their ability to run the Women’s Tour, a WorldTour event.
