A funny thing is that people think Whitney didn’t deserve to win, that Anya deserved it more, while in fact there was only one single panel of judges deciding this. That same panel gave Anya a lot of FCOs, and yet it was also that very same panel who decided Whitney should win in the end. It wasn’t a different set of judges, so why do people think that having more FCOs automatically makes Anya the rightful winner, while Whitney isn’t, when the people who awarded Whitney the win are the exact same judges? Doesn’t that sound illogical?
In my opinion, Whitney was deliberately underrated throughout the competition to create an “underdog wins” storyline. And she deserved that win. Her CoverGirl photo was much better than Anya’s, yet she was ranked behind her. In the final runway, she slayed and completely outshone Anya. Personality-wise, Whitney stood out much more fitting the image of a true Top Model while Anya was too mild and bland to represent the archetype of a top model.
Moreover, Whitney’s victory was historic, leaving a mark and inspiring the industry as the first plus-size winner of ANTM. Not to mention, her face was absolutely cinematic, stunning beyond belief. It’s extremely rare to find a plus-size model with such a breathtakingly beautiful face, so passing on a once in a lifetime talent like her would have been a huge waste for the show.
And I think the judges made the right call. After the show, Whitney went on to become one of the most successful winners in terms of modeling career. So honestly, people should stop crying about it already.
To be honest, there was a different plus sized blonde beauty that came a few cycles after Whitney. Kasia? I believe was her name??She had a face both gorgeous for commercial, but had that fashion edge Whitney lacked. I always felt ANTM crowned Whitney bc they faced criticism for never a plus sized winner. I knew Kasia wasn’t going to win as they wouldn’t crown another plus sized blonde, but she would have been the better model to represent the show imo
Katarzyna, Anya or Fatima should've won this cycle .. any of those three… they totally robbed this girls. Dominique's portfolio is even stronger than Whitney tbh.
Cycle 10 was weird, I don’t feel like anyone really stood out from the pack. Anya took good photos but she just sounded so dumb when she talked. I personally would’ve liked to see Fatima or Katarzya win, but honestly no one really amazed me this cycle
I always said it felt she was pre-selected to win. The top three should’ve been between Katarzyna, Fatima and Anya. This show just wanted to go in history for allowing a plus size model to win which there is nothing wrong with that. But they need to be the best like every other model who’s won. Not just given a win. This was an awesome cycle, but a very disappointing ending. I gave Game of Thrones vibes 😂
I personally believe that, due to the reception of Saleisha winning cycle 9, production told Tyra to not make it obvious the next time the preselects a winner, so Tyra decided to run with it to the extreme with Whitney, because some of her bottom 2 placements weren't justified, like her paint shoot was second best to me next to Anya.
I wanted Katarzyna to win, but it was obvious since the beginning they wanted Whitney to win. And Katarzyna didn't have much time in camera for some reason. And constantly you could see Tyrs wanting to screw her, to be less beautiful or to not be good on photos. She was eliminated for being "boring"? Just because she was not problematic. She was the only one who even spoke like 3 or 4 languages. Whitney was not even likable, but yhey wanted her to win, so they could say they were innovating fashion, buy making a "plus size model" winning. The saddest part is that she's not even plus size, but they were brainwashing us, ttying to tell us that was "plus size".
That ANTM model is rigged from the selection process from the beginning the producers probably already know who they want to be the winners . The other contestants were mainly chosen for drama which is why they like to cast the crazy outrageous loud mouth girls who had different opinions on gays religion and whatever would create conflict for TV drama. Let's be real half those girls on those shows would not make it in the real world modeling industry.
Tyra wanted a plus sized model since Cycle 3. But no plus size model had been as confident as Whitney. So, they took their chances with Whitney because what if they never got another plus size contestant who wasn’t insecure?
When Whitney did that shoot on the thumbnail Tyra made some sus comments that made me believe Whitney was the pre selected winner. The whole season favored her unlike Toccara. Whitney’s season the stylist was blamed for Whitney’s lackluster look.

I LOVED WHITNEY. She broke history by becoming the first plus sized girl to win ANTM. Her, Anya, and Fatima were my favorite models for that season!
