A brutal, beautiful ride down into the Carpathian foothills of Ivano-Frankivsk. A bee got me right in the eyebrow at km 80, and a savage headwind from km 125–150 on the road to Dolyna turned the middle into a pure survival ride. Ten hours in the saddle — and I made it home.
