that was quite the scenic beach with the colour of the water. The prickly pear cactus makes a formidable fence, and not one that you'd want to accidentally steer into. I wonder how it spread to North America. Has it been there since Pangea times? Or got washed across the ocean into Central or South America long ago and slowly worked its way up into North America as the climate warmed? Now I'll have to go look this up or it'll bother me all night.
