Gsm has nothing to do with shirting. Think or search like what is 120/2 140/2 shirting, etc. The cost to make that fabric in a whole sale market for ex in India is 15 to 140 Euros in India. The same or inferior quality costs like 100 to 700 Euros per metre. Now at retail we are talking about a price in the range of 300 to 1000 Euros for a simple shirt!

Not exactly true! European standards for producing cotton fabric are different from the US! They allow shaving machines to make cotton feel more luxurious and more standardized than here! And they are less constrained by time in factories! Knowing what you do about knitting practices especially for tees and French terry ……..
