Yes, intentionally twisting the hose to clear parts of the bike is a thing that works. Problems? I haven’t really encountered any, my oldest hydro bike was 10 years old and still had the original hoses on it. That’s not proof of anything to be frank, but I personally don’t thing this is putting any more stress on the hose than making it go through a tight bend in the frame.
its interesting how op posted in german language. i guess auto translate on reddit is working pretty well. just a shy note that guy in the video is turning the caliper around one full turn, he is not reattaching it upside down. seems like a good lil “hack”
I have trust issues with anyone that still wears the ABU pattern to show they were in the Air Force. Has nothing to do with his mechanic skills or this video, but that was a horrible pattern the entire time it was a required uniform item.
You can do the same thing with integrated cockpits if you’re having issues with cables rattling or rubbing or pulling the bars to one side. Doesn’t always work but it’s worth a try.

I’ve had success preventing these friction marks with helicopter tape. Although, I haven’t tried this method, I would worry about the cables relaxing against a new portion of the frame over time.

Ever heard of gorilla tape or 3M film? That should be enough. It happened to mine, rocking some gorilla tape there 💪🏽

I had a bike shop just adjust it for me when I went to get new tubes. They sort of loosened the hose around the brake lever, and turned it that way. They did also recommend me not to try doing something like that myself
