Some cracking cars there Simon !. I do like some "left field" cars so it's a toss up between that white Citroen DS ( that would pay for itself in wedding work after a couple of years -hmm 'man maths' …Kevin..stop it ! ) or the Volvo P1800ES ( bargain !)
What was your " car/s of the day" ?
Excellent video and great information on all those amazing vehicles. Quite a few Bargains. A bit surprised
RX7 yes Simon, just dont seem them so suprised that didnt move on. Alfa GT Junior smart car, ok price… Aston DBS made 90k on matthews last night. friend has an MR2 MK1 company car 🙂 fun driver, good price if sound
I thoroughly enjoy your auction walk around.
So many auctions these days have a glut of XJSs, E Types, 911s, Minis and 70s and 80s Rolls Royces. Must make it hard for consigners/auctioneers to get best prices.
Whoever bought those four Studebakers got good value.
Great video …..Loved to see the cars and old Buxton gardens , only ever been there in the snow 40 years ago.
Good video. Just the right pace and time spent with each car. Interesting how many cars were bid to just below bottom estimate. With buyer's premium they would hand over something around bottom estimate. I think it shows people are prepared to pay the lower end estimate but are, quite understandably, factoring in the charges when bidding. It's not only car auctions where this is the case; antiques auctions are similar. I just wonder whether sellers really realise that they are actually paying both their own commission and the buyer's? It's fair for auction houses to make money, and it's true that they are in a lot of cases boosting what the car might otherwise sell for, but some commission structures and charges are shocking. It used to be that buying privately was the most expensive way, and auctions where the bargains were. It seems to be the other way around nowadays.
28k for Z1. Result 👍🏆
"aitch & aitch" NOT "h'aitch & h'aitch".
Great video Simon, just to let you know that the MK1 focus RS came standard with the remote starter button, sparco seats, brembo brakes and OZ alloy wheels.
Great video Simon, yes I would have loved that Alfa, sorry to have missed it
