People say Armstrong was no.1 but Pogacar takes the cake! 💉 "Fuel like pros" lol
They're climbing 4-8% faster than when Armstrong and everyone else was doped to the max. And now they're clean? 😀 Marathon has only improved about 4% over the last 15 years.
Only 24 seconds between seixas and del toro
I see that doping is still strong in cycling
So beeting a time that can not be beet!
Most memorable moment of the tour 4:45
Anyone else feeling that this performance is just unbelievable 😮
All those blind bots exhilarating in front a drugged rigged show..
It must be infuriating for vingegaard and even evenepoel. They're up there so many times with the very best times ever set on these climbs, sometimes they break those records themselves – and still end up second and third because there's one guy who breaks these records harder. You're better than anybody in history ever was on those climbs but unfortunately there's a yellow fella who's just better still…
That was quick.
Rapid.
I'd die halfway up…
I recall people expecting the times to creep up after the Pantani/Armstrong times.
They didn't…
Does Tadej have a TUE?
He is a wonderful, majestic rider.
But this time is "TUE fast".
😮😊😮😊😂😮
look how his hands are almost in line with where hea is..compactedlness
Generational talent in performance program led by notorious former doper, funded by oil rich state with poor human rights record with great interest in sportswashing, and a governing body that cannot afford another doping scandal as it would destroy the sport
The writing is on the wall here
SEE WHAT DRUGS CAN DO FOR YOU
your commentary is outstanding
thank you
One minute faster than pantini? Hardly credible. Let's hope this isn't another Armstrong!
Wow 😮
And we're all like, yeah, that makes sense. Like Armstrong's cadence, 470 w/kg, etc. Explain it away.
If there are any absolute truths here, it is that the 90s bikes looked far better than today's! 😄
DOPED
I respect the power of Pogi, but the Tour has been boring over the years no matter how much the media hype the Tadej-Jonas "rivalry". There's no competition left.
the goat
Time will reveal the truth.
There are many who believe Tadej is a doper with a hidden motor. The modern day Armstrong .
cannot understand what he said.
You gotta be very light these days for the tdf. Because else your ebike battery runs low to fast
1. Lance, 2 Toddi, 3.Eddie
Fans suck
Pantani got hardest stage with 3 HC climbs and 162km stage in 1995!!
Tadej is insane
Dopers gonna dope
Claiming that Pogačar "broke Pantani's record" is a misleading oversimplification.
A record is only truly broken when the conditions are comparable. You cannot compare performances across completely different eras with radically different bikes, equipment, sports science, nutrition, data analysis, training methods, and team tactics.
People who truly understand cycling know that Marco Pantani raced in an era where raw instinct, courage, and passion often mattered more than the highly calculated, data-driven approach that dominates today. Modern cycling is built around collective team strategy, advanced technology, and decades of accumulated scientific knowledge. That doesn't diminish today's champions—it simply means the context is fundamentally different.
Every generation has its extraordinary talents, and Tadej Pogačar is undeniably one of them. But talent never exists in a vacuum. It is supported by the technology, preparation, and knowledge of its era.
If Pogačar had raced under the exact same conditions as Pantani, with the same equipment, preparation, and racing environment, there is no certainty—let alone proof—that this "record" would have been broken.
Respect greatness, but don't erase history by pretending every era is the same.
There is no way this is natural..
Freak of nature? Found a legal doping mechanism?
You see this again and again with the breakaway playing games rather than working together and in almost every care bar a few the breakaway gets caught. But I suppose for those riders it either win or don't bother.
what is dude doing at @7:02 behind Pogi? 😀
To all the haters, just think how fast Pantani would have been with disk brakes and one of those strips on his nose.
Sorry Tadej but No Pantani No Party!
