Just found your channel, very informative. We leave next month for Avalon rhine cruise just wondering do most women wear dresses at dinner? I understand it’s not formal but I was debating on dresses or pants. Thanks

Was this in the United States or in Europe?
That is not a full suit. That is (maybe) dress slacks (that are not well pressed) and a sport jacket. With the (sport?) shirt unbuttoned to the third button (which is a long way from formal). Yes your dress looks formal, but he is not wearing a "full suit." Take the jacket off and he's business casual.
You can still dress up and be comfortable. I’ve seen pics of passengers at dinner and it literally looks like they didn’t even go back to their stateroom after a day excursion. They’re still wearing their athletic shoes and shorts. A little effort shows you care. A pair of nice pants and a blouse (not a T-shirt) or a comfy dress looks presentable.
