Crazy how low the prize money is in the biggest race in bike racing.
ridiculous, big ticket boxing fights pay 100 times more literally, despite having the potential to end in 1 or 2 rounds. they're doing something wrong if they can't even gift 10 million euro for the top prize. even e-sports pays better. jeez

2,3 million total prize money, meanwhile ASO cashes out 100 million € dividends from TDF profits. These crumbs are a disgrace, cycling desperately needs revenue sharing.

Sepp Kuss was 3ft away from dying on stage 20, for a chance to win 11,000 Euro, to only walk away with 2,800 Euro…nuts. Probably won't cover the price of the repairs on the bike after crashing twice.
LOL this is absolute travesty, total disgrace. I made more money from my couch than Tim Merlier made winning 3 stages and busting his ass. More money that Jonas and Sepp combined. How is that fair?

Great content…..never seen a breakdown like this….my question – do the individual riders keep their earnings or does it typically go into a common pot where its the team's discretion on how to divy it up amongst all the team and support members?
