Cue the ‘I out my armour on’ memes. Julian is ‘cold fit’ which means his body fat is so low that he needs insulation. He would have preferred newsprint or better yet a plastic garbage bag. The cardboard does not have ink, and will not stain the jersey. Pro tip. Green garbage bags next to the skin will keep you warm down to -5c. Below that, cover all of the skin…all of it.
