What difference can a high-quality walking and cycling route make?
The latest section of the Gloucestershire Cycle Spine is now complete, connecting Cheltenham and Bishop’s Cleeve and giving people more options for healthier, safer and greener journeys.
Part of a 26-mile route linking communities, workplaces, businesses and leisure destinations, the Cycle Spine is more than just a route. It’s helping make school runs more enjoyable, commutes more affordable and everyday physical activity easier to build into daily life.
National Active Travel Commissioner Chris Boardman visited the route when it officially opened this summer. Watch to hear how local people are already benefitting from the scheme.
