      The side shot of Cavendish in HTC absolutely blasting past others on the final stretch like they aren't even moving is an all-timer, but the stage is just SO MUCH better this way. Both last year and this year, far more interesting than a sprint. I know it's a tough decision to make whether they keep doing this or not as if there is no potential for the sprinters at the end then they don't have much to look forward to, but I think this layout is an excellent balance that could really go either way so it's great for everyone including the spectators.

      No relegation for Phillipsen for raising hand off the handle bars and celebrating a team mate winning before crossing the line himself… that is the new rule isn’t it that the UCI were happy to punish others? 😂😂

      Considering what Pogi did the last fews days, and then to do this on the final stage is hard to fathom. He's completely on another level.

      A few years back when Jonas was out injured Pogi won Giro by 10min then went to tour and won that easily… People were saying every one else going for second place And Pog won because the peleton was not that strong… A few years later and against arguably the strongest peleton for years Pog still wins be nearly 7mins and would of been a lot more but he was helping Del Toro get on podium. Imo he's the best I've ever seen since the 70's and I've noticed that every rider has referred to him as the best rider ever even above Eddie M… Is there any doubt?? Not imho… The only way he gets beaten is when he's been injured in the run up to tour… As Tina Turner puts it "Simply the best".

      I find it slightly disrespectful for the classic sprint riders in the peleton that the have included the Montmatre part of the final stage. It is completely made for Pogacar to win at Champs-Élysées. I write slightly because it is entertaining absolutely and as we saw Phillipsen it is possible for them to come close to a sprint but for most of them it is not possible because the climb is too steep.

      I missed Jonas Vingegaard's smile at the podium ceremonies! And Wout van Aert on Montmartre of course. Thinking about how the GC would have ended with Florian Lipowitz still in there too.

      well another tour fly's by,
      the speed of this year's tour even with the shortened stages due to the heat were still incredibly fast,
